Where Do You Go to My Lovely?

What the #?%& is UX strategy, and is there a toolbox? A practical walk through business analysis, customer research, journey mapping and product planning as the actual toolkit behind the term.

Venue
UX Cologne meetup (#UXCGN19)
Year
2016

Context

"UX strategy" gets used as a job title, a slide heading and a vague promise long before anyone agrees what actually goes in it. The talk starts from that gap: not a definition, but the toolbox.

The argument

A strategy is only as good as the tools that built it — business analysis to know what the organisation is actually solving for, customer research and journey mapping to know where it hurts, and a product-planning frame to turn both into a roadmap someone can act on. Given at UX Cologne's meetup (#UXCGN19).
